A Boulder Sunset Story
Over the years I’ve taken many pictures of amazing sunsets at home in Boulder. This one was special.
Just as I was firing up the grill for some evening BBQ action, I heard some thunder rumbling and looked skyward. The clouds had pinkish & orange hues and I could tell with the passing storm over the Flatirons that something really good was about to happen.
I quickly ran in my house and grabbed my drone which didn’t have a ton of charge, but just enough for what I needed. I fired up the drone and launched it right above the house and panning the camera around as it climbed, I knew this was going to be good.
My preferred method for wide shots with the drone is take individual frames then later merge them into a panorama on my computer. This increases the end image quality and allows for better control of the final image. This was the result of a 4 image photo merge and I couldn’t be happier!
