Vancouver Dogwood

I was up in Vancouver recently, unfortunately weeks after the Winter Olympics had already ended.  I did manage to get out of the hotel for a bit and explore around.  One of my favorite pics so far is from a dogwood tree I found nearby that was in full bloom already.  I am probably allergic to it, but nonetheless a pretty tree and fun shot :)

Recycled Business Card Holder!

So some of you may know that my other business is making lamps out of recycled bicycle parts. I had been trying to think of some new projects for awhile to expand the recycled bike art side of the house and needed a new business card holder for my Amante Coffee exhibit.  Well, the two ideas came together and low and behold I came up with my new recycled business card holder!  I used an old cog from a Shimano bicycle cassette and a bit of spare hardware to fasten it altogether.  Stylish, recycled, sustainable, functional and dead sexy all at the same time!

I will probably have these for sale pretty soon over at Treeline Designs, but for now a nice picture of the prototype.

Amante Coffee Opening [art show]

If you happen to be in Boulder this Friday, April 2nd @ 6pm - please come downtown and visit at Amante Coffee. I will have work on display for the month of April and Amante is hosting an opening Friday evening. I will have various works from some of my European travel up for viewing. Cheers!

Snow Fall Sequence

So with a series of spring storms rolling through, I had the idea to try the interval shooting on the D300 the other day once I got home from work. Snowfall accumulation rates were up to 3" per hour at one time, so it was a great opportunity to try it out. In the end, I was mildly pleased with result looking forward to another shot at it soon! The last frame is from the following day!

Home page version 3.2'ish

Good news!  The 'new' site is up and running!  Ok, so I guessed on the '3.2' version in the blog title, because I have changed it here and there and really have lost count.  But who cares, the site looks great!  So hop on over and check it out! And of course, what kind of photographer would I be if I didn't include a photo in this post?!  A fun montage of our cat Yeti taking part in what he considers 'drinking' his water.
