There's a version of this shot that exists in about ten thousand phone cameras across Boulder. This isn't that one.
The Flatirons don't compress well. They sprawl. And on this particular evening the sky was doing something the standard rectangle couldn't hold anyway, a cumulonimbus tower punching through the western sky while warm storm light wrapped everything else in gold and pink.
Four frames from my drone merged into a panoramic. The 10x30 ratio was chosen specifically for this image, because cropping it would mean losing exactly the parts worth keeping.
